Common Lizard
Latin name: Zootoca vivipara
A small grey-to-reddish brown lizard. The Viviparous Lizard is by far the most common lizard in the UK, but they are quite difficult to spot.
Common Lizards are often seen sunning themselves on flat rocks or wooden walkways on the nature reserves. Common Lizards can be found in damp areas especially from June to September.
