The Rabbit is native to Spain and south-west France and was brought to England by the Normans in the 12th century.
The Red Deer is Britain’s largest land mammal and has red-brown fur, with a cream rump.
The Pine Marten was the second most common carnivore in Britain during the Mesolithic era.
Roe deer have a reddish-brown coat when mature, the young can have white spots.
Medium sized deer, young and males often have spots, females are brown all with lighter under.
A small, mostly subterranean mammal with usually dark or black fur but can be pale brown to cream.
A dog sized, often nocturnal mammal with red-brown fur, thick-coated in winter and moulting in summer.
