Green Dock Beetle

Latin name: Gastrophysa viridula

A small green-golden shiny beetle. The male is a typical Leaf Beetle shape, but mated females become swollen making the wing cases displaced. Found May to August on dock plants and other related plants. The larvae feed on dock.
