A spider with four white spots - and other white spots on it’s back. The Four Spot Orb Weaver spider builds orb webs close to the ground to trap small insects. The female Four Spot Orb Weaver spider also builds a funnel or tube of web to retreat into. The body of the Four Spot Orb Weaver can be yellow-green, orange, red and brown, the female can actively change colour over a period of days. The Four Spot Orb Weaver spider can be found in grass from June to October.
