The Migrant Hawker, Aeshna mixta, is a species of dragonfly that is commonly found across the UK.
The Norfolk Hawker or Green-eyed Hawker, is one of two brown hawker dragonflies found in Britain.
The Black Darter dragonfly is fairly common in moorland areas and can be found in great numbers.
Males have a broad, blue abdomen with yellow patches, and females an all yellow abdomen.
Very common as the name suggests, the Common Darter can be bright red but colour varies to quite pale or paler with red areas.
The Four-spotted Chaser is very common and can live in a variety of habitats from moorlands and wetlands to lakes or ponds.
The male is blue but the female is yellow with gold tinted areas on the wings.
The Yellow Winged Darter dragonfly is said to be an infrequent migrant from mainland Europe but many are seen in certain years.
