Blusher
Latin name: Amanita rubescens
A brown (from pale yellow to rich, red brown) capped mushroom. Like a brown version of the better-known red Amanita. Found in broadleaf, coniferous and most types of woodland. Apparently when bruised, all parts of the mushroom turn pink giving the mushroom it’s name - the Blusher. Edible when cooked properly but contains a toxin that can cause anaemia.
