Maidstone is Kent’s county town and is also the largest town in Kent. The town is made up of four electoral wards, Maidstone West, Maidstone East, South and Maidstone North.

The town is situated at the headwaters of the River Medway approximately 17 miles from London and 45 miles south east of London Gatwick Airport.
