Starcross
The village of Starcross near the mouth of the River Exe in Devon is picturesque, with its thatched cottages and old stone buildings.
It is also a place with a dark history. In the 16th century, it was the scene of a witch trial in which three women were accused of practising witchcraft and sentenced to death.
