Shanklin
Shanklin is a popular seaside town on the east coast of the Isle of Wight.
The town has a wide, sandy beach which is perfect for sunbathing, swimming and paddling. Shanklin also has a pretty Old Village with traditional thatched cottages, and a wooded ravine called Shanklin Chine which is popular with walkers and nature lovers.
There are plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants in Shanklin, as well as a number of pubs and bars. The town is also home to the Isle of Wight Zoo.
