Sevenoaks

Sevenoaks in Kent is a town Kent.

It is a very old town having been mentioned in an 8th-century charter given by Offa, King of Mercia to Beornrad, Bishop of Rochester.

Before being renamed sevenoaks it was known as Sevinhoak which means seven oaks because seven oak trees that were planted in celebration of the seventh century victory over the Saxons.
