Go Ape Rivington

Hailed the mini Lake District of Manchester, Rivington is a perfect location for Go Ape. With its rugged hills, picturesque reservoirs and woodland bustling with wildlife, it has proved to be a hit with adrenaline lovers who enjoy a whole day out.

Great House Barn

Lever Castle

Lever Park was officially opened to the public on the 10th October, 1911, but construction of Lever Castle at Coblowe on the eastern side of the Lower Rivington Reservoir overlooking Cross' Creek wasn't begun until 1912.

Rivington Cup Marked Stone

The only prehistoric rock art recognised as being authentic in the Rivington area, was found at an undisclosed location near the banks of the Lower Rivington Reservoir.

Rivington Hall Wood

An area of woodland and former parkland of Rivington Hall.

Rivington Lakes And Reservoirs

Constructed between 1850 and 1857 and designed by Thomas Hawksley the well known 'three lakes' of Anglezarke reservoir, Upper and Lower Rivington reservoirs together with Yarrow Reservoir were once the cutting edge of reservoir technology.

Rivington Pike

Written records of 'Roun Pike' stretch back to 1280, though it is entirely feasible the Pike became part of England's integral beacon defence network over a century earlier under the instigation of the Earl of Chester after the Scottish raids of 1138.
