Portsmouth
The city port of Portsmouth on the south coast is a historic naval town and now a major yachting centre.
The bustling harbour is home to many bars and restaurants as well as the famous Spinnaker Tower. Portsmouth is also home to the Mary Rose Museum, which displays the remains of Henry VIII’s flagship that sunk in 1545. Visitors can explore the city’s long maritime history at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, which houses museums, exhibitions and two working ships.
