Portadown
Portadown is a town in County Armagh, Northern Ireland. The town sits on the River Bann in the north of the county.
It was founded in 1609 by Sir Richard Wingfield during the Plantation of Ulster. Portadown is home to Portadown College and Portadown Market. It is also home to Portadown Rugby Club.
The Portadown area has a long history dating back to the Bronze Age. A number of archaeological sites are located in the vicinity of Portadown, including the Portadown Crannog.
