Little Lever
Little Lever is a town in the borough of Bolton, Greater Manchester. It lies on the River Irwell and has a population of 7,919 (Census 2011). Little Lever was a largely rural township until 1878, when it was incorporated into the Borough of Bolton.
In medieval times, little lever consisted of little morethan a row of farms. Today little lever symbolizes the industrial history of Bolton, drawing people into its shops, pubs and businesses.
