The ruined farmsteads of Higher and Lower Hempshaw’s, below Will Narr, between Rivington and Anglezarke moors.
Although still occupied into the 20th Century, by thirty to forty years later only one building (at Lower Hempshaw’s) is shown as not being derelict on the old maps.
