Haigh Country Park

Haigh Country Park is a mostly wooded area based on the old estate parkland of Haigh Hall. The hall remains along with garden areas and fountains together with and many other features, kids play areas and miniature golf.

Haigh Country Park stretches from the area immediately around the old hall in southerly then westerly direction crossing the Leeds and Liverpool canal and as far as the River Douglas. These woodland areas encompass the old Haigh Upper Plantations to the East of the canal at a section that was once the old Lancaster Canal and Haigh Lower Plantations which reach down to the Douglas.

The large northeastern part of the old Haigh estate is taken up by the Haigh Golf Complex.
