Greenbooth Waterfall by munki-boy

Greenbooth Waterfall

A small waterfall in a rocky gorge on the west side of Greenbooth Reservoir. Often found with little water but can be forceful after heavy rain.

There is an interesting ruin beside the waterfall that looks to be the remains of a waterwheel pit. Not shown on any maps and doesn’t seem a large enough building for a mill. It’s possible a waterwheel here was used to drive machinery for the nearby quarry.

Easy to find on the public footpath round the reservoir.
