Ferry Meadows in Nene Park in Peterborough is a country park with a mix of habitats including lakes, grassland and woodland. It is also home to many different species of wildlife. The park is a popular destination for walking, cycling, fishing and bird watching.
The park was created in the 1970s from an old gravel pit that had been used for extracting sand and gravel. The site was then landscaped and transformed into a country park. Today, the park covers an area of approximately 1,000 hectares.
Ferry Meadows is a great place to enjoy the outdoors and get some fresh air. There are many different walks and cycle routes to explore, as well as a number of fishing lakes. The park is also home to a variety of wildlife, including deer, otters, waterfowl and a variety of birds.
