Exeter Canal

Exeter Canal

The Exeter Canal is a modified section of the River Exe that was made navigable as early as the latter half of the 16th Century. Although there were improvements made in the 18th and 19th centuries, it was not until the 20th century that the canal was truly revitalized.

Today, the Exeter Canal is a popular destination for both tourists and locals alike. The canal is home to a variety of businesses, including boat rental companies, restaurants, and even a brewery. There are also plenty of opportunities for recreation along the canal, such as walking, biking, and fishing.

If you’re looking for a unique way to experience the city of Exeter, a trip down the Exeter Canal is definitely something to consider. You’ll get to see some of the best parts of the city from a whole new perspective.
