Evesham
Evesham in Worcestershire is a market town and parish located in the Wychavon district.
The town is situated roughly equidistant between Worcester, Cheltenham and Stratford-upon-Avon. Evesham is known for its market square, Abbey Park and the River Avon. The town has a variety of shops, pubs and restaurants as well as several schools. There are also a number of historic buildings including the Church of St Lawrence and Evesham Town Hall.
Evesham’s market square is the site of the weekly market which has been held since 1214. The square is also home to the annual Christmas Market which takes place in December. Abbey Park is located on the site of the former Evesham Abbey and features a variety of gardens, a playground and a café. The River Avon runs through the town and is popular with fishing and boating enthusiasts.
