The market town of Daventry is located in the north-west of the county, close to the border with Warwickshire.
The town is also well-known for its annual pantomime, which takes place at the end of each year
Daventry has a long history, dating back to Roman times. The town was an important stopping point for travellers between London and York, and it was also a key market town.
he town has a number of historical buildings, including St. Anne’s Church, which was built in the 13th century, and Daventry Castle, which was built in the 15th century.
Landmarks in Daventry include the Burton Memorial Cross, which was erected in memory of Sir Richard Burton, and the Market Square, which is home to the town’s weekly market.
Daventry is also home to a number of businesses, including a number of manufacturing companies as the town has good transport links, with the A5 road running through it, and there are also regular trains to London and Birmingham.
