Cwmbran is a town located in the county borough of Torfaen, in Wales. The town is situated on the eastern side of the Afan Valley, and is bordered by the villages of Blaenavon, Abersychan, and Pontnewydd. Cwmbran was originally a coal mining town, but has since transitioned into a commercial and industrial center. Major employers in the town include the Tata Steel plant, the HM Prison Prescoed, and the University of South Wales campus in Pontnewydd.
There are several things that make Cwmbran a great place to visit. For starters, there are plenty of great restaurants and pubs in town. If you’re looking for something a little more active, Cwmbran has plenty of parks and green spaces to explore. The Cwmbran Stadium is home to several sports teams, including the Cwmbran Town Football Club and the Torfaen Titans rugby team. If you’re interested in catching a game or taking part in a sport yourself, this is definitely worth checking out.
The Cwmbran Shopping Centre is one of the largest shopping malls in Wales. With over 150 shops and restaurants, it’s a great place to spend an afternoon or evening.
