Culver Down
Culver Down is a chalk down to the north of Sandown, Isle of Wight.
The down has a typical chalk downland wildlife on the uncultivated areas. This includes plants such as Small Scabious, Harebell, Cowslip and Lady’s Bedstraw.
Culver Down is also a great place for bird watching with over 190 different species having been recorded. So whether you’re a keen ornithologist or just enjoy being outdoors, Culver Down is definitely worth a visit!
Culver Down is in Isle Of Wight AONB, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
