Crediton in Devon is a market town with a long and interesting history. The town is best known for its attractive medieval churches, including the magnificent St Mary’s Church, which has been described as one of the finest parish churches in Devon. Crediton is also home to a number of other historic buildings, including the remains of a Norman castle and a 15th-century manor house.

In recent years, Crediton has become increasingly popular as a tourist destination, due to its beautiful countryside setting and its proximity to the city of Exeter. There are a number of good hotels and bed and breakfast accommodation options in the town, making it an ideal base for exploring Devon.
