Pick Marks and Debris inside Coppice Stile Lead Mine Trial by munki-boy
Coppice Stile Lead Mine Trial
There is a small trial lead mine beside Dean Black Brook near to the ruins of Coppice Stile House. I suppose they didn’t find a workable quantity as the trial was never expanded.
This is an old tunnel cut by hand - note the pick marks in the walls and ceiling. There is quite a bit of rubble on the floor and often some water, probably dangerous without proper gear as there could be rock falls.
