Bidston Windmill
Bidston Windmill
Bidston is home to an historic windmill that has been restored and is now open to the public.
The windmill is one of the only remaining working examples of its kind in England, and is a Grade II* listed building. It is thought to have been built in the early 18th century, and was used to grind corn until the early 20th century. The windmill was restored in the 1970s, and is now open to visitors. The mill has four floors, and there are views of the surrounding countryside from the top. There is also a small museum on site, which tells the story of the windmill and its history.
