The town of Ballymena in Antrim, Northern Ireland, is built on land given to the Adair family by King Charles I in 1626.
The town has a right to hold two annual fairs and a free Saturday market. The market still runs today, and is a popular place to shop for fresh produce, local crafts, and more.
Ballymena is also home to many historical sites and landmarks, making it a popular tourist destination.
