The Old Whelley Line

A disused railway line passing through the Whelley area of Wigan that is now used as a recreational footpath and in places cycle route.

Lancashire Union Joint Line

Now a walking path, the Lancashire Union Joint Line was opened in 1869 and the line was closed finally in 1971.

Ringley Road Station (ruin)

The remaining platform of the old Ringley Road Station beside the old track bed.

Clifton - Accrington and Colne Line (disused)

A stretch of the disused railway - now a cycle route and footpath The Outwood Trail.

Linnyshaw Loopline

A disused railway line running from Linnyshaw to Little Hulton, converted to a walking path.
