Fairies Cave

Fairies Cave is in The Lake District National Park in England.

Fairies Cave is a limestone cave of unknown extent, the site of several springs near to Pool Bank. Fairies Cave is located in fine woodland and is worth calling at during a walk around the area.

The cave is situated in a small rocky ravine that is easy to find but full of midge flies - hundreds of them - you have been warned.

The entrance to Fairies Cave is not too difficult although the ground is rocky and uneven. The interior of Fairies Cave is flooded with water and a bit cramped, at least for the first few metres which is as far as I went.
